Marshals Signing On
Mull Targa Rally
Signing-on will be available in MacGochans Bar/Restaurant in the upstairs function room on Friday 12th between 18:00 and 20:00 and Saturday 13th between 07:30 and 08:45. We would really appreciate if all marshals could be signed-on by Saturday 08:45 latest. It’s possible some of you may decide to go straight to your allocated post on the Saturday morning, if that’s what’s been communicated to you by the allocated Test Commander. If that’s the case then the Test Commander will have a signing-on sheet, please ensure you sign-on.
For those who don’t have details of their allocated post this information will be provided at signing-on.
The Test Commanders for the Tests will be provided with a full information packs, and will include the following. Regularity marshals will each be provided with their own packs.
- Test and Regularity Time Control Locations
- Test Diagrams (if applicable)
- Check Sheets
- Safety Manual
- Entry List
- Test and Regularity Marshal Instructions
MULL RALLY TIME TRIAL
Signing on for the Time Trial is at 08:00 at the start of the Time Trial, where you will be allocated a position or post number.
I will be at scrutineering 18:00 to 20:00 Saturday at the Distillery Tobermory, if you would like to sign on and get your location the night before. If you are doing both events then signing on on Friday night at MacGochans will be for both.
A packed lunch will be provided both days to Marshals. These are provided by PARK LODGE HOTEL Tobermory.
In the meantime I look forward to seeing you all at the weekend. (Fingers crossed we get reasonable weather)

Time Trial Deadline Extended
The Mornish Rally Time Trial is definitely going ahead as planned on Sunday 14th October!
We know there are a few entries still in the pipeline, and so we are extending the closure until 9pm on Wednesday 10th October.
We are trying to be as accommodating as possible for those coming from the mainland, so the schedule allows for travel on the first ferry over from Oban and returning on the last ferry back for anyone who is unable to stay over.
Don’t leave it any later! Submit your entry here.
After Party
Don’t miss the Mull Rally after party!
2018 Rally Update – 8th June
Firstly, thank you to all the supporters of the Beatson’s Building Supplies Mull Rally for your patience over the months since last year’s successful Targa Rally and Time Trial. We haven’t just been sitting on our bottoms in that period, lots of work has been taking place in the background. As you can imagine much of these discussions are not the most exciting thing to be talking about; permits, insurances, Road Traffic Act for example and are not really the type of things to be sharing openly whilst discussions are still on going.
We can now confirm that we are in discussions with Saltire Car Club about running another Targa Rally. This would be planned for the weekend of 13 – 14 October 2018. Plans are in their infancy for the Targa as well as the hopes to run a Time Trial. More details will come out over the next month or two.
So, what about the rally? As you may have seen from the release earlier from the MSA, the Scottish Government are starting the consultation process with the objective to secure closed road legislation for the whole country. There is a lot of work to be done to secure this and it is not the work of a moment. But maybe, just maybe we may have special stages around the perimeter roads of the Isle of Mull in the near future…fingers crossed.
