Duncan Brown

Exiled Mulleach and regular Mull Rally competitor Duncan Brown has been flying the Tunnock’s flag on events in some far off places. He recently finished 24th overall and 4th in class on the Flying Fortress Stages at Grafton.

The only downside of having the Tunnock’s stickers on the car is that everybody keeps asking for Scotland’s favourite biscuit. Duncan says “It has definitely raised sale of caramel wafers, if only because we always buy a heap before each rally and give them to marshals, scrutineers etc.“

Well done Duncan, hope you like this year’s route and see you in October.

2014 Route Details

RouteEx
Here is the first glimpse of the route for the 2014 Tunnock’s Mull Rally.  To celebrate the 45th running of the event we have managed to come up with some new stages, revisit some old stages that haven’t been used for a long time and to tweak the format a wee bit from recent years.
There is still over 150 miles of competitive distance to be completed to ensure that Mull continues to be one of the toughest tests the National B competitor can face in the UK.
SS6 Hill Road/Achnadrish is a new stage for 2014, going right through Dervaig and finishing at the Bakery at the end of the Mishnish Lochs.  The first daylight stage, Ardtun is run in the opposite direction for the first time and then we have the return of the Tobermory stage.  However, the second run of this stage starts in Tobermory but finishes in Dervaig.

See the Route page for further details and to download Google Earth KMZ files.
